Who runs TimeMaple

TimeMaple is an independent site from a publisher of free calculator websites, with no ties to payroll or scheduling software: there is nothing to sell you and no account to create. Every page is written and checked by the people who run the site, and corrections are welcome at hello@timemaple.com; when a reader reports an error, the page is fixed and its review date updated.

How the numbers are worked out

Every calculator shows how its result is calculated, and each page carries the formula and a worked example you can reproduce by hand. Time arithmetic, pay periods and shift rotations are computed, not looked up, so nothing goes stale. Federal holidays come from the rules in federal law (5 U.S.C. 6103), not a stored list, and each shift rotation is tested so every shift is covered by exactly one crew.

Where the rules come from

Pages that rely on a rule link to the primary source at the bottom, with the date the rule was last checked: the Fair Labor Standards Act regulations (29 CFR parts 516, 553, 778 and 785), the FMLA regulations (29 CFR 825), Department of Labor fact sheets, OPM for federal holidays, and state law where a page offers a state option. Overtime follows the federal rule by default; state rules are options you choose, never assumed.

What is not here

There are no tax, withholding or take-home pay tools, on purpose: tax tables change every year. Results are estimates of hours and gross pay, not legal, tax or payroll advice. Your employer's policies, your contract and your state's law decide what you are actually owed. The privacy page explains what the site stores.
